This was filmed and edited by Laura McCormick, a current Level 6 student on the Motion and Interactivity Pathway. It documents a seminar session taking place between two members of staff and a series of students on the Communication Pathway, discussing weekly progress on their ideas for module briefs.
This was the live stream from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. The Piece was called Eating an Apple and they presented work from dancing, to live painting and installations. It lasted 3 hours and it was really interesting to see what they developed around the symbol of Alan Turing’s death. This live stream was such a great experience as we could see them working at the same time as us.
Also, the artist working in Singapore chose an illustration that I had done to paint on the wall. He had it projected on the wall and was painting over it, and adding elements to it. I could not believe my eyes when I saw this artist that was in Singapore, using my work!
Again, this was an amazing experience and I loved working with people from around the world and hope do do it again.

Reblogged from hub-salford with 5 notes

Here are some shots from our victorious win at Platt fields. We managed to beat MMU graphic design by a clear 5-2 result. Well done of course to Mr Gary Peploe, Tim Isherwood, Jules Tagoe, Sian Rolland, Amy Broadhurst, Catherine Clements, Andy Golpys, Keir Gibson, Lee McLean and Nathan Littler. I clearly have no football edge on describing this fantastic match however my colleague Mr Isherwood does a far better job on here.

Apologies for not blogging this earlier, I know its had a wide Facebook presence but here are some shots of the very successful DNA Carnival that was held at Islington Mill a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Roses Design Awards last Thursday night. I heard competition was tough this year but luckily the course secured one win. Big well done to Emily Waddecar and Dan Godfrey.

The day is almost upon on us! For all those who’ve been working really hard towards getting their final designs done for the decode/recode. The 24hr international show opens this Friday the 23rd of March. The show well be marked by a visit from The Duke of Edinburgh.

Some lovely shots taken by Hannah Henderson on the illustration pathway for a days drawing workshop on the 5th floor of Islington Mill.
Tap the link below to see some of the jacket designs our illustrators have creating. Salford Museum and Art Gallery will be holding the exhibition from 17 March to 1 July 2012
Thanks to all who showed up today. Ideas and work look great. If anyone can lend a spare hand on Thursday, Friday I’ll be doing some more painting in the studio
